Overlay Overview
Stream overlays are digital graphics that are placed over a Twitch or YouTube stream in order to personalize the streaming experience. These graphics provide streamers with the ability to create a more engaging and visually appealing experience for their viewers.
Streamerlay is the solution I created to address the lack of a streamline platform within the stream overlay market. I needed to create an easy to use platform to sell my stream assets but that also enabled the expansion for other sellers to use the platform in the future.
Streamlining Overlays
In order to reach my customers, I needed to create a platform that my target audience would be familiar with. I created streamerlay.com, a Shopify ecommerce store that sells Stream Assets and Overlays. The site is completely automated and grants access to the necessary digital files upon purchase.
The site is designed with my target market in mind. The dark and modern theme will be familiar to many customers who already browse similar styled video game store fronts. The website is simple to navigate and presents information in an easy to digest form.
Dynamic Designs
All stream assets are created by hand and are sold in a user-friendly package. No two overlay themes are the same and have been created using diverse techniques and expand upon a different design each time. A variety of skills are utilized such as Illustration, Photo Manipulation, 3D Modeling, Animation and Typography. These skills are combined with market research and customer requirements, in order to assemble a product fit for the target audience.
